Dumped

Wisdom is here:

Dumping Someone Is Easy!

Dear Bitter Single Guy: So, I have been seeing this guy for over two and a half years. I recently moved to another state and have no plans to move back to the same state as him. We have been long distance before but now, it has no end. I don't want to be with him anymore. How do I go about this conversation? How do you break up with someone when they don't want to have the conversation? He isn't the most receptive person to deep conversations. Help me, please! -- Wanna Be Single

Dear WBS: The Bitter Single Guy gets the problem here...you're looking for an easy way out, looking for something you can say that will prevent your Future Dumpee from being hurt. Heck, you're even hoping you can find a way for HIM to dump YOU because that would sure be easier, wouldn't it, WBS?

Step up WBS, you own this. Call him on the phone (since you're long distance) or even more appropriate, have a face to face conversation. Tell him that you think your relationship has gone as far as it's going to and that you believe you should stop seeing each other. DON'T tell him you want to be friends, it's just condescending. DON'T tell him it's you, not him, because it IS you and there's nothing wrong with that.

Relationships end, WBS...you and the BSG both kinow that.  But someone has to step up and do the right thing and this time it's you.
