Booty Call is Getting Old

ear Bitter Single Guy: I met a guy about 2 years ago; he's about 45 and I'm 22. We started out with a couple of dates which quickly accelerated to sex and now we've been hooking up off and on for two years. I've tried to deny that I want to know him on a deeper level, but after grappling with it for months I realize that I do. Is there any way to move from this booty call thing to dating a bit more seriously? How do I even broach the topic? -- I Want More

Dear IWM: The Bitter Single Guy is assuming that two years of hook ups have probably allowed you both to fall into a pretty comfortable routine, yes? So you get none of the boredom of a regular relationship, and none of the anxiety of a one-night-stand! Perfect, eh, IWM?

Unfortunately, although a crucial component, sex is only one part of a relationship and a tough one on which to build a relationship. The BSG thinks perhaps the timer has run out on your booty-call. Tell this horny geezer that it's time to up the ante and make an honest woman out of you. If he bails it doesn't matter since your view of the relationship is all tainted by nesting thoughts.
